Cleaning & Maintenance Instructions
- Switch off and unplug the filter before cleaning.
- Close the inlet and outlet valves, then disconnect the hoses carefully.
- Clean the filter sponge regularly using water removed from your aquarium. Do not wash it with tap water or soap.
- Rinse Bio Balls and Ceramic Rings gently in aquarium water only, so beneficial bacteria remain safe.
- Clean the filter body, pipes, hoses, and spray bar when dirt builds up to maintain strong water flow.
- Reassemble the filter properly, check that all valves are tight, and restart the filter.
- For best performance, clean the sponge every 2–4 weeks depending on fish load and water condition.
Important: Never use soap, detergent, or hot water to clean filter media or accessories.
