- Connect the pre-filter between the aquarium intake pipe and your external filter or water pump.
- Fit the hoses tightly on both sides to avoid air leakage.
- Keep the pre-filter in an upright position.
- Fill the pre-filter with aquarium water before starting the main filter.
- Switch on the filter or pump and check all hose connections for proper water flow.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Switch off and unplug the connected filter or pump.
- Carefully remove the pre-filter from the hose connection.
- Open the body and remove the sponge.
- Rinse the sponge gently in removed aquarium water.
- Clean the transparent body with plain water only.
- Do not use soap, detergent, chemicals or hot water.
- Reassemble securely, fill with aquarium water and reconnect before restarting.
Cleaning Frequency
- Clean every 1–2 weeks under normal aquarium conditions.
- Clean earlier if water flow becomes slow or the sponge is visibly dirty.
- Replace the sponge if it is damaged, compressed or cannot be cleaned properly.
Important Note
This is a pre-filter only. It does not include a motor and must be connected to a compatible external canister filter or water pump for operation.
