Hydrocotyle tripartita is a fast-growing, low-growing aquatic plant known for its dense, bright green foliage. The plant features small, clover-shaped leaves and is commonly used in aquascaping for creating lush foreground carpets or midground accents. Its vibrant green color provides excellent contrast against darker or red plants.

    • Lighting: Moderate to high. Bright light encourages compact growth and vibrant green color.CO₂ Requirement: Optional but highly recommended for faster and denser growth.
    • Water Parameters:
      • Temperature: 20°C to 28°C (68°F to 82°F)pH: 5.0 to 7.5
      • Hardness: Soft to moderately hard (1-12 dGH)
  • Substrate: Nutrient-rich substrate promotes healthy root development, but it can also grow as a floating or epiphytic plant.
  • Growth Rate: Fast, especially under high light and with CO₂ injection.
  • Pruning: Frequent trimming is required to maintain shape and prevent overgrowth.
  • Planting and Propagation

  • Planting: Plant small stems or nodes into the substrate. Ensure adequate spacing for spreading.
  • Propagation: Easily propagated by cutting stems and replanting them. Each node can form new roots and leaves.
  • Special Considerations

  • Growth Control: It can grow invasively, so regular trimming is necessary.

    The plant was packed very well, fresh and healthy on arrival. Leaves were green with no damage, ready to plant straight into the tank
