Appearance:
Platinum Angelfish are known for their stunning metallic white coloration that gives them a sleek and elegant look. Their bodies are laterally compressed, making them appear tall and narrow when viewed from the front. They have long, graceful fins that can be quite striking, especially in well-bred specimens. Their eyes are typically a bright, contrasting color, adding to their overall beauty.

Body Shape:
Like other angelfish, Platinum Angelfish have a distinctive triangular body shape with long, trailing fins. Their dorsal and anal fins are elongated, giving them a majestic appearance as they swim. The fins are often delicate and flowing, enhancing their elegant look.

Size:
Platinum Angelfish can grow to a moderate size, with adults reaching lengths of around 6 inches (15 centimeters) from the tip of their dorsal fin to the bottom of their anal fin. Their height, including their fins, can be even more significant, making them an impressive sight in a well-maintained aquarium.

Temperament:
Platinum Angelfish are generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially during breeding periods. They are best kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful fish that won't nip at their fins. It's important to provide them with ample space and hiding spots to reduce stress and territorial disputes.

Tank Requirements:
A spacious aquarium of at least 30 gallons is recommended for Platinum Angelfish, with larger tanks being even better. They prefer water temperatures between 76°F and 82°F (24°C to 28°C) and a pH level of 6.8 to 7.8. Providing plenty of plants and vertical decorations can help mimic their natural habitat and offer hiding places.

Diet:
Platinum Angelfish are omnivorous and will thrive on a varied diet. High-quality flake or pellet food should be the staple, supplemented with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. They also enjoy vegetable matter such as blanched spinach or zucchini, which should be offered occasionally.

Care:
Platinum Angelfish require a clean and stable environment to thrive. Regular water changes and monitoring of water parameters are essential to keep them healthy. They are susceptible to common fish diseases, so maintaining good water quality and a balanced diet is crucial. Breeding can be challenging, but providing a calm environment and appropriate conditions can encourage spawning.

Breeding:
Breeding Platinum Angelfish can be a rewarding experience. They typically lay eggs on flat surfaces like broad leaves or aquarium glass. Once the eggs are laid, the parents will guard them diligently. It’s essential to provide a calm environment and remove any potential threats to the eggs or fry.
